Farewell Europe - 5/10/2016
We had an early morning start loading our luggage onto the buses. We departed from the hotel at 7:00am for Charles de
Gaulle Airport. While we were waiting to board the airplane, we grabbed a bite to eat at McDonalds. Thinking of the
famous scene in Pulp Fiction, I ordered the Royal Cheese.
Our flight took off at 11:15 Paris time and we bid farewell to the Old World. During the flight I watched two movies on
the in-flight entertainment system, The Big Short with Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Sisters with
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. As the second movie ended the plane touched down at JFK in New York.
We made your way through customs and boarded our connecting flight to Columbus. The weather was a little rough heading
into Columbus. To avoid the worst of the storms, the pilot circled around to the north of the city and landed from the west
into Port Columbus. We were scheduled to arrive around 5:30pm local time.
Once on the ground we said farewell to the other 110 members, family and friends as we headed to our cars to drive home.
Our magical, musical tour of Europe has come to an end. But the memories will last a lifetime.
