Microsoft Fail - 4/25/2011
Today I was trying to restore my files to my new computer. Like a good little boy I backed up my files on the old computer. I used the
Windows backup program. Nothing weird or off the wall. So now that I'm trying to restore on the computer, I get nothing. Now, the
old computer ran Windows XP and the new one is running Windows 7. Could that be the problem?
As it turns out, that is exactly the problem. The Windows 7 restore program isn't able to read backup files created by Windows XP. I
had to download and install another restore program from Microsoft.
a) Microsoft software isn't compatible with Microsoft software.
and/or
b) Microsoft never expects its users to ever upgrade.
