Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - 3/20/2026
This evening Mom, Crissy, Emma, Sarah and I went to Stewart's Opera House in Nelsonville to see Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory. This musical was presented by the Nelsonville-York Drama Club and ABC Players.
This stage presentation takes the audience to the world of pure imagination with this tasty musical based on Roald Dahl's famous novel
and the hit movie. The score also pays homage to the Leslie Bricusse/Anthony Newley score from the 1971 film with songs from the
motion picture including "The Candy Man," "I've Got a Golden Ticket," "Oompa Loompa Song," and "Pure Imagination."
This was another great performance and a delightful evening out with family.
