Street Made with Wooden Bricks - 6/21/2025
This afternoon Shawn and I made a short excursion to the Shadyside neighborhood in Pittsburgh to see the last wooden street
in Pennsylvania.

The street surface at Rosyln Place was created in 1914. While this short cul-de-sac is less than 250 feet long, it
required 26,000 oak blocks to pave. It is located just off of Ellsworth Avenue in eastern Pittsburgh. There are 18
beautiful homes that line the street and add a lot of historic character to the area.
