Ocean City Boardwalk - 8/8/2022
Our first full day in Ocean City began with a stroll down the boardwalk.
As we walked along, we saw various restaurants, bars, shops, hotels and beach houses.  On the beach side of the
boardwalk we saw sunbathers, swimmers, surfers, parasailing, boats and planes.
Near the southern end of the boardwalk is Jolly Roger at the Pier.  It is a quintessential amusement pier with modern
rides and a great family setting.  Sarah and Emma rode the Giant Wheel.
The pier continues beyond the rides where we were able to take in the views.
From here we turned back to begin the return trip to our hotel.  We had walked about 1 1/3 miles to the pier.
Now that we had some idea of the choices along the boardwalk we began to find a place we wanted to eat lunch.  In the
meantime, Jake and Sarah got some tubs of popcorn from Fisher's.
We finally decided to get lunch at The Dough Roller.  Best known for its pizza, but I got a chicken sandwich.
We continued our walk along the boardwalk where we saw kites, cute guys playing sand volleyball, sunbathers and birds.

Once we returned to the hotel, we spent the rest of the day swimming and relaxing, both at the beach and at two of the
hotel's pools.
