Scioto Audubon Metro Park - 8/10/2021
Today after work Sarah and I drove to Columbus to visit Scioto Audubon Metro Park for the first time. The
park is located along the banks of the Scioto River just south of downtown and west of German Village and the
Brewery District. Built on a former industrial site and brownfield, the park’s design incorporates some of
the old infrastructure, most notably a water tower.
At the northern edge of the park is an abandoned bridge that crosses over Interstates 70 and 71. The
bridge once connected Mound St. and Whittier St.

Sarah and I enjoyed exploring this new piece of nature in the middle of a metropolis.
