 Aquaman - 12/30/2018
This evening Sarah and I met at Movies 10 in Nelsonville to see Aquaman. This DC superhero film starred Jason
Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman.
The movie tells the story of Aquaman’s origins and the struggle to prevent conflict between those living under the seas and
on the surface. The love story of Aquaman’s parents is very effective and quite believable, right from the start of the
film.
The visuals are heavily done with computer graphics, but it certainly isn’t distracting. The underwater worlds were
beautiful and detailed. Only at the finale does it cross into CGI-in-a-blender territory. Sarah didn’t think the
movie is quite as special as I did. She said several parts of the film were ‘basic’.
