 The Greatest Showman - 12/28/2017
This evening Sarah and I went to see The Greatest Showman at Movies 10 in Nelsonville. The musical starred Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams and Zendaya.
The movie tells the story of P.T. Barnum’s rise from penniless orphan to innovator and businessman. From his collection of oddities to extraordinary and never-seen-before live acts to respectability showman. Hugh Jackman brings this character to bigger than life, full of energy and optimism. The music is big and bold, the production is grand, the editing is good and the choreography and staging is great.
As I watched the film I couldn’t help but feel that just like the real-life story of P.T. Barnum, I wondered which aspects of the story were real or embellishments.
This is a really good movie. Full of energy and fun. Go see it.
