 Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 12/14/2017
This evening Sarah and I went to Movies 10 in Nelsonville to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The first showings were at 7:00 pm but we waited until the 8:00 show to avoid the crowds. Episode 8 in the Star Wars saga starred Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Laura Dern and was directed by Rian Johnson.
This film is unlike any other in the Skywalker family story. And it was the longest. Throughout the entire movie the bad guys were right on the tale of our heros. Even when the story focused on Luke at his far away hideout, there was still and strong sense of urgency.
Mark Hamill is amazing and I love the new attitude and direction Luke has taken. The new character of Rose seems forced and her love for Finn is completely out of left field.
The story is great, the visuals and sound design is fantastic. I loved the final showdown. Awesome.
This is a great movie. Go see it.
