Kings Island Halloween Haunt - 10/11/2013
This evening Amy, Xander, Jenny and I went to Kings Island for their Halloween Haunt event.
We arrived about fifteen minutes before the park opened. I was very excited to have Xander see the monsters emerging from the park
gates when the park opens. The monsters beat on the metal doors and the ominous music played. Then the gates raised and the
monsters appeared from the dehind fog. It was a lot of fun.
Once inside the park we started hitting the rides and haunts. Our focus for this evening was to get as many of the haunts as we could
and save many of the rides for tomorrow. We were able to walk through Urgent Scare, Board to Death, Delta Delta Die, Holiday Horror,
Backwoods Bayou and CarnEvil.
Xander wasn't scared to try any of the haunts. He's growing up. He was especially excited to get his mom to go through CarnEvil, since
she suffers from coulrophobia (fear of clowns).
The highlight of the evening was seeing the Halloween Haunt version of Ed Alonzo's Psycho Circus of Magic and Mayhem. Ed has recreated
his summer show for a more adult audience and to include a few new illusions. We all enjoyed the performance. Xander was a little
shocked by the girls in their bustiers. He may have just went through puberty.
We also rode a few rides throughout the evening. We rode Racer, WindSeeker and Eiffel Tower. Amy and I rode The Beast late in the
evening.
We ate LaRosa's Pizza in Rivertown while we watched a raccoon search through the nearby trashcan.
Tomorrow we will be back for the rides.
