In Time - 11/10/2011
Tonight Matt and I went to see In Time at Movies 10 in Nelsonville. This action comedy starred Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.
This movie had a truly great premise; In the future the aging gene has been switched off and to avoid overpopulation, time has become money.
People use the time they have to pay for luxuries and necessities and work to earn more time. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to
struggle for their immortality day-to-day.
Justin and Amanda are good in this film. But the story doesn't really go anyplace. Timberlake's character begins to steal time and give
it freely to the poor. The rich and those that control the system are threatened by his actions. He never brings any real change to the
system and essentially becomes a bank robber. Apparently bank security in the future will be nonexistent.
This is an OK movie. You might want to look for something better.
