Halloweekends Day One - 10/3/2009
Today Shawn and I drove to Cedar Point for the first of our two days of Halloweekends.
We started our gray, chilly and windy day with a ride on Raptor. It was Shawn's first ever ride on Raptor. Throughout the day
we rode Power Tower, Magnum, Top Thrill Dragster, Disaster Transport, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, Millennium Force, and Wildcat. I took a
solo ride on Wicked Twister. During the light afternoon rain we headed to T.G.I. Friday's in Hotel Breakers for a good sit-down meal
in out of the rain.
The screamsters came out once darkness fell upon the park. The full moon and party cloudy skies added to the foreboding night.
First we saw the Overlord high above the Iron Dragon midway send his demons, ghosts and ghouls to descend on their fright zones. We
braved the scares zones of Terror Island, Cornstalkers, The Fright Zone and CarnEvil. We faced our fears in Club Blood and two new
haunted houses; Happy Jack's Toy Factory and George Boeckling's Eerie Estate. Happy Jack's Toy Factory was my favorite. It was a
great scare. There are so many things to look at and like nothing I've seen before. The final gag in the maze is just, wow...
edgy.
We'll be back again tomorrow for more coasters and creeps.
