Tonight Matt and I went to Movies 10 to watch 9. This computer-animated film follows 9 once he awakens after the
destruction of all mankind.
The movie features the voices of Elijah Wood, Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, John C. Reilly, Crispin Glover and Jennifer
Connelly.
The visual design of this post-apocalyptic world is amazing. It also has many items that have the retro look of World War I
through the 1950's and some clips that are reminiscent of World War II newsreels. The look of the creatures and the movement
of the animation are a joy to watch. The camera movement and editing are great too.
The story moves along quickly and keeps you interested in the characters as the narrative unfolds. The danger and action in
the film are realistic in this fantasy world. The climax of the movie is great, but the resolution and ending are weak.
The movie is OK.
