The Tempest - 5/7/2009

This evening Tommy took me to see The Tempest at the Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater in Kantner Hall on OU's campus.  The play was an Ohio University student's new interpretation of the William Shakespeare classic.

Director Andy Felt's surreal vision was quite an experience to behold.  I would have never imagined characters modeled after Elvis and Courtney Love to appear in a Shakespeare play.  Along with the reinvented character types, there were also new visions of sound, music and set design.  Only the original dialogue remained.

I was very impressed with the performance and highly entertained.
