 Spider-Man: Brand New Day - 8/2/2026
This evening Sarah and I met at Cinemark River Valley Mall in Lancaster to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This superhero
movie starred Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Florence Pugh, Tramell Tillman, Marisa Tomei and Mark
Ruffalo.
This film tells the story of Peter Parker fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him four years after
the events of No Way Home. He lives completely isolated, dealing with the psychological toll of nobody remembering him. The
movie has dialogue-heavy, character-driven struggles rather than a massive world-ending threat.
The movie has a very in-depth story that is self-contained and doesn't blatantly feel like you are being baited into watching an entire
cinematic universe. Once the mysterious villain is finally revealed, it turns out to be a unique character, with what turns out to
be a sympathetic backstory.
This is a very good movie. You should go check it out for yourself.
