The Lion King - 6/20/2024
This evening Jake, Emma, Crissy, Sarah and I headed to Columbus for an evening of food and theater. First, we ate at
Milestone 229 on the riverfront and then we attended a performance of Disney's The Lion King at the Ohio Theatre.
We parked at the Statehouse and walked to the restaurant at the corner of Civic Center Drive and Rich Street near the Scioto
River. We all had a great meal and I chose the Walleye with Couscous.
After dinner, you casually walked to the theater as we had a little extra time. We even stopped in at the Planters
Peanut store to check it out. We entered into the theater and made our way to our seats and patiently waited for the
show.
What an amazing show it was. So dramatic, emotional and moving. Even though I was very familiar with the storyline,
there were multiple times that I was brought to tears by the dramatic presentation.
It was a great evening together with my family. And a show that I’m not likely to ever forget.
