 The Walk IMAX 3D - 10/2/2015
Today Sarah and I drove to Charlotte to visit Carowinds. Our plan was to ride their new giga coaster, Fury 325 and maybe some of
the halloween haunts. Due to a large tropical storm system that hammered the Carolinas, the park closed early by the time we
arrived. Sarah and I checked into our hotel and began to searched for something else to do.
We went to Regal Cinemas Stonecrest on the south side of Charlotte to see The Walk IMAX 3D. This drama based on true
events, starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt and directed by Robert Zemeckis.
This movie tells the story of Philippe Petit, who gathers a team of people to help him realize his dream or walking a high-wire
between the towers of the World Trade Center.
The visual effect in IMAX 3D really makes the viewer feel the extreme heights and danger in performing these acts. The realism
is very impressive. Zemeckis gives us yet another visual jewel.
Without directly saying so, this film is a tribute to the fallen towers and the city of New York.
