 Saving Mr. Banks - 12/22/2013
Sarah and I went to Movies 10 in Nelsonville to see Savings Mr. Banks. The movie starred Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks.
The film is based on the true story of Walt Disney perusing the film rights to "Mary Poppins" from author P.L. Travers.
Hanks does another exceptional jobs as he plays Walt Disney and tries to understand the mystery of P.L. Travers and her childhood.
The film has a deliberate pace and has many flashbacks to the author's childhood. Colin Farrell is a great surprise as he plays the
author's father. Paul Giamatti is also a good surprise in the movie.
This is a very good movie and a good tear jerker. Go see it.
