 Star Trek: Into Darkness - 5/28/2013
This evening Matt and I went to see Star Trek: Into Darkness at Movies 10 in Nelsonville. This Sci-Fi action movie starred
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana and Benedict Cumberbatch.
J.J. Abrams' second journey into the Star Trek universe is great. He has taken a great new story and peppered it with numerous pieces
from the original TV series and the previous films. It's great spotting all of these easter eggs in the film and it added more texture
to the story.
There is a great moral issue that Kirk has to deal with in this film and the way he deals with it is a great piece of storytelling.
The villain in this story is fantastic. He is introduced as the a bad guy but over the course of the movie you start to question how
bad he really is. So much so that you begin to question if he is even a bad guy at all. The answer and his true identity is a great
twist.
It is a great movie. You should go see it.
