Rest and Relaxation in Pittsburgh - 4/21/2012
After a hard working tax season, I headed off to Pittsburgh this morning for a short road trip. I met up with my friend Donn from
Maryland at the downtown Doubletree Hotel.
First we walked around downtown and crossed the Allegheny River to the Andy Warhol Museum. We spent several hours admiring the creations
and collection of the iconic artist. The seven floors of the museum covers the entire range of Warhol's work from all periods.
Next we were off for a bite to eat. We stumbled upon Primanti Brothers in Market Square. I have a Roast Beef and Cheese sandwich
and a bowl of Chili and we shared Cheesy Fries. Each of our sandwiches were topped with French Fries and Coleslaw.
Then we headed back to the hotel for a swim and a nap.
After we were well rested we began our evening with a fine dinner at McCormick and Schmick's. I had the Steelhead Trout, Mashed Potatoes,
Steamed Broccoli and a Ceasar Salad. I also had a Wildberry Mojito to drink. It was the best meal I have had in a very long time.
Next we were off to the bars for drinks.
A great day in the Steel City.
