Thirty-Seven Years Later - 11/25/2011
I attended kindergarten at Franklin Elementary School. The school was part of the Lakewood Local School District outside of Newark,
Ohio in Licking County.
Today, thirty-seven years later I returned for the first time. It was for your annual family dinner. The school is now the
township firehouse and community center. The firehouse this year which is less than two miles away from Uncle Charlie's house when we
normally have the dinner. I rememder a few thing, like the playground, the gym and the front steps. But I wasn't able to recall
the details of my old classroom, other than its general location at the back right of the school.
It was good to see the Lanning side of the family again. And we all had a great meal together.
