 Super 8 - 6/11/2011
Sarah and I went to Movies 10 to see Super 8. This Sci-Fi mystery thriller from director J.J. Abrams and producer Steven Spielberg starred
a group of newcomers.
The story takes place in 1979 in a small Ohio town. The movie was hyped as if it would be a return to the earlier thrillers of Spielberg.
And parallels Spielberg's youth as a group of young boys using Super 8 film to make their own movie. Then accidentally capture a train crash with
their camera. Soon afterwards, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in the area.
The film has a good story, a great cast, directing and special effects. The suspense is never up to the level I was expecting from Spielberg and
Abrams. The ending of the movie was a bit of a let down.
You might want to go check it out. This is still a good movie.
