Hallowpalooza III: The Hills Are ALIVE! - 10/27/2010
Tonight Jenny, Sally, Mom, Sarah and I went to see Hallowpalooza III: The Hills Are ALIVE! at Memorial Auditorium at O.U.
The concert was a lot of fun and very entertaining. The show included performances by the orchestra, choir, symphony, Marching 110
and more. All of the musicians were in costume.
Each of the musical numbers was given its own special presentation as the conductors or musicians were dressed with the theme of the musical
piece. For the Sound of Music, which was done as a sing-a-long, the conductor was dressed as Julie Andews. For the Pirates of the
Caribbean another conductor was dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. He ever stopped in the middle of the number to take a drink of rum.
Eight cellists were in bee costumes while playing Flight of the Bumblebee. There were many more special numbers including In the
Hall of the Mountain King, O Fortuna, Toccata and Fugue and others.
This was a great concert. We all had a great time and a few laughs as well.
