 Dinner for Schmucks - 8/19/2010
This evening Sarah and I went to see Dinner for Schmucks at Movies 10. The movie starred Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, with
Zach Galifianakis and Bruce Greenwood.
It is the story of a rising executive who must impress his boss by finding a buffoon to invite to dinner. Carell played the innocent
and loveable target of Rudd's search.
The film is funny, especially at the end during the climactic dinner scene. There were a couple of times in the movie when I almost
felt uncomfortable laughing. I wasn't sure if I was laughing with the character or at him. For the most part the
filmmakers had the audience laughing with the character. But still there were times when I questioned it.
Zach Galifianakis is great in his small part, especially in the final dinner scene.
It's a good movie. But it just isn’t quite as funny throughout as The Other Guys.
