Alice in Wonderland - 3/27/2010
This afternoon Sarah and I saw Alice in Wonderland in digital 3D at the AMC Easton Town Center 30 in Columbus. Tim Burton
directed this live action story of the famous and starred Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp.
I was really looking forward to seeing this film with Sarah. The 3D visuals were stunning and even more impressive than Avatar.
Even if it wasn't in 3D, this fantasy world looked incredible on the screen.
I was impressed with how seamlessly the different heights of the characters appeared on screen together. Live action faces and heads
were combined perfectly with CGI bodies. Excellent work.
Tim Burton's vision was brought to the screen beautifully and without being too dark. Which is appropriate for the telling of
Alice.
Mia Wasikowska was great as Alice. And of course, Johnny Depp did a great job playing the Mad Hatter. Although there were
several of his lines of dialog that I wasn't able to understand through his accent.
Alice in Wonderland was a very good movie. You should go see it.
And seeing the 3D trailer for Tron Legacy was a bonus.
