Website traffic - 2/27/2009
Earlier this month the Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony award winning actor James Whitmore died. Since then I have been following more
closely the amount of traffic I have received on my website.
On an average day my site gets between five hundred and fifteen hundred "requests". On Saturday, February 7th (the day after his death) I
had over twenty-three thousand requests and two days later I had over nine thousand. This is by far the heaviest traffic I've had since
the site was launched on August 22, 2007.
I also noticed that there was no noticeable increase in traffic after the Oscar's aired on television on Sunday the 22nd, where the actor
was featured in the memoriam portion of the show.
