Winterfest at Kings Island - 12/15/2024
This afternoon Emma, Sarah and I went to Kings Island for the park's Winterfest event. We arrived just after 5:00pm and
made our way to the Eiffel Tower in time for the tree lighting at 5:30pm.
We casually walked around the park taking in all the festive sights and sounds.

The park has done an excellent job transforming it into a winter celebration with more than seven million lights. New
this year, the path leading from the Eiffel Tower to Rivertown, WinterFest Way, has been updated to a drive-in movie theme. I
particularly like the nostalgic homage to Kings Island's predecessor, Coney Island and that park's marquee roller coaster, Shooting
Star.

We patiently waited along International Street for the nightly WinterFest Wonderland Parade which passed by us at about
8:30pm. With festive characters and floats, highlights included a locomotive, busy elves in Santa's toy shop, a gingerbread
family, and of course Santa Claus.

There was one specialty item I wanted to try for myself and share with Emma and Sarah, and that was the Cinnamon Pull-A-Part
Bread available at Café du Père Noël at French Corner.

We concluded our evening at the park just after 10:00pm. It was a fun, relaxing and festive evening together.
