Top Thrill 2 - 8/9/2024
Today I made my first visit of the year to Cedar Point and joining me was Shawn and Brian.
The weather was great with moderate summer temperatures and perfectly clear blue skies. We had a relaxing day riding as
many of the roller coasters as we could, and taking in all of the sights and sounds.
As we made our way through the park, we passed by Top Thrill 2. The coaster has remained closed as part of its extended
closure since early this season. The ride looks really great and I can't wait to eventually get a ride on it. I am
really looking forward to the 101 mph backwards launch, and all of that wonderful weightlessness on the reverse spike. But
as this season continues to move along, and there are no signs of it opening anytime soon, I wonder if it will reopen at all this
year.
I had a great day hanging out with the guys and look forward to our next coaster adventure.
