Band-O-Rama - 11/30/2023
This evening, I attended Band-O-Rama with Julie, Adam and Sarah at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium in
Athens.
Sarah performed with the University Band conducted by Justin McCrary, Assistant Director of Bands. Next was the
Symphonic Band conducted by Richard Suk, Professor of Music Education. The Wind Symphony, conducted by William
Talley, Director of Bands performed next. One of the pieces they performed was the highlight of the show. They
played Rhapsody in Blue with Emely Phelps, Artist-Teacher of Piano. This was the first time I had even heard this
piece performed live and it was truly awesome.
And to conclude the evening, was a performance by the OU Marching 110. It was a great night of music and memories
with family and friends.
