 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - 5/23/2008
Tonight Sarah and I were at Movies 10 to see Indiana Jones. Starring Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, Shia LaBeouf
and John Hurt.
I was very excited to see this movie. And so was Sarah.
There was plenty of action and great visual effects. It has a good story, but it's the most far-fetched of all the Indy films. The
pervious tales of the Holly Grail and the Ark of the Covenant were much more plausible. The story of aliens from another world and a
monstrous UFO hidden in the Amazon rain forest is just too much.
The atomic bomb test sequence was really cool. I thought that Indy hiding inside a lead-lined refrigerator was a believable way of
surviving the blast, heat and radiation of a nuclear test. But the seeing the refrigerator endlessly rolled across the dessert was going
a bit too far.
Crystal Skull is a good movie, but definitely not the best of the Indiana Jones films.
